His wife was in the car. I've edited it to read "made sure nobody else was in the car."
And it isn't a convertible. That's sort of why they specifically call it a sedan, although there are convertible sedans nowadays I guess.
And god is not the culprit either.

It's a dead giveaway.

These aren't riddles, just bad puns....

Arrr... so they are. Here be a riddle.
There is an island with 100 lions and 1 sheep. The lions would like to eat the sheep but there is a catch. Any lion that eats the sheep will fall asleep and be easy prey for the other lions. A lion that eats another lion also falls asleep.
Only one lion can eat the sheep or sleeping lion. There is no sharing of the carcass.
The lions can survive without eating the sheep. A lion will only eat the sheep or a sleeping lion if it can do so without being eaten itself.
Assuming that the lions are completely logical, does the sheep get eaten? Explain your answer. |

The riddle did not include the fact that a lion wants to eat another lion, so assuming that they don't, the first lion that eats the sheep and falls asleep will not be eaten.
So the answer is yes.
A good try, but a lion will eat a sleeping lion if it can do so without being eaten itself.
The answer to this riddle does not depend on a trick in the wording. |

No. If they can live without eating the sheep, they probably will. |

Frayed knot ...er I mean 'fraid not. The sheep will get eaten if a lion can eat it and avoid becoming a meal itself. |

It has to do with the fact that the lions are completely logical. If you can figure it out then you've solved the riddle.
Perhaps I should add that the lions have full knowledge of the situation. Specifically each individual lion is aware that all the other lions are also completely logical. |

Nope. The lions do not discriminate between the sheep and a sleeping lion.
Here's a hint:With 100 lions the sheep will not be eaten, but if we were to put one additional lion on the island making a total of 101 lions, the sheep will be instantly devoured.
