NASA's buffoons don't take (as usually) Jupiter gravity into account and think that Jupiter act like a magic magnet.
In those drawings the vectors of Jupiter's gravity force are not shown.
NASA's buffoons show the probe that travels perpendicularly to Jupiter direction but ... but ... but in this drawing http://www.space.com/php/multimedia/imagedisplay/img_display.php?pic=h_cassini_trajectory_02.gif&cap=The
the probe travels parallelly to Venus and that magic manoeuver can't be done
Holy god-- you are a [bleep!] moron! The drawing you linked is on a completely different scale than the other. And besides, the "magic manuever" can, of course, still be done, regardless of the angle. As long as you don't hit the fucking planet in question then the physics work. (Hell, even if you do hit the planet, the physics work, it just won't help you out much.)
You're obviously a troll or too stupid to understand this. Perhaps you should consider playing with your dog on a more regular (or even a permanent) basis and leave us alone.
And by the way, where in Italy are you from?
I'm betting he's originally from Paolo Pini or Altri sguardi before Law 180 was passed.

Dear friend sts60
the probe could go near Venus and could be attracted in orbit around it.
It would be enough to intersect its orbit, or can't you intersect Venus' orbit?
Drawings, calculations, vectors, manoeuvers, velocities are no use in 3D space because... because...
THIRD STATEMENT: NASA's buffoons have not technology to see their probes going to Mars or Saturn or Tempel1, have not technology to see where are their probe in the deep darkness of universe and which is their relationship with their target AND NEVER WILL BE ABLE TO GO ANYWHERE IN 3D SPACE

Instead of this impossible crap manoeuver, NASA's buffoons could enter in orbit around Venus
How, exactly, do you enter into orbit around Venus - the common meaning of which means gravitationally bound to, i.e., in an elliptical orbit about it - and get to Saturn? That's like saying you'll drive from Rome to Paris by circling a traffic roundabout forever.
Nevertheless, the "manoeuver" you refer to so clumsily is the Venus gravity assist. Two of them were done for Cassini, in fact.
and increase the probe's velocity at 79,000 miles per hour (velocity of Venus RELATIVE TO THE SUN)
Almost correct! Very good! Yes, Cassini took advantage of Venus' velocity relative to the Sun. Twice. |

Dear friend sts60
I'm not "your friend". I don't have blithering pinheads for friends.

Gibberish. Keep trying.

Nope. We already explained the basic concepts of deep-space ranging and tracking to you, at length, in the apollohoax forum. I don't feel like repeating myself, since you have been so utterly, uniformly, and reliably disconnected from reality thus far. If you can't understand the most basic of physical concepts, what hope do you have of understanding Doppler shifts, ranging codes, or inertial navigation?
I feel sorry for your dog. Wait. Hand him the keyboard. He has a much better chance of understanding the simple concepts we've spent so much time trying to get across to you. Especially if we offer him a biscuit.
Here, boy! (Whistles) |

Dear friend sts60
Why do yuo say "in an elliptical orbit about it"
In a circular orbit around Venus.
Why do you say "That's like saying you'll drive from Rome to Paris by circling a traffic roundabout forever..."
It is simple for NASA's buffoons: they must only burn rocket at the right moment

WOW!, this was like watching a car wreck. Sad, but somehow entertaining. I am particularly impressed that someone with bigbrain's level of comprehension can actually type at all. |

Dear lying sack of shit,
Since you have steadfastly refused to address the least fact nor read at all for comprehension, you would have noticed that STS60 said he had been here before and just lurked.
You have not now nor have you ever in any of the forums you have posted in been able to offer one iota of evidence that the engineers at NASA are unqualified for the jobs they hold, that physics acts in the way you suggest, nor why atmospheric flight operations of a manned vehicle has the least bit to do with an interplanetary flight operation of an unmanned vehicle. Yet, the members of this board have provided lots of proof of their contentions. I must conclude that you are devoid of logic, ability to learn, and ignorant of the least bit of physics.
European language barrier or not, you have demonstrated your complete lack of intelligence, reasoning ability, and honor.
I await your next "witty" reparte which I assume will contain an accusation that you are being picked on or insulted and still doesn't address any evidence presented to you. |

DOPPLER SHIFTS ??? RANGING CODES ??? INERTIAL NAVIGATION ???
NASA's buffoons can't see nothing in 3D space and say to locate their probes with a radio signal.
Ha ha ha
CAN A RADIO SIGNAL LOCATE A RIDICULOUS PROBE IN 3D SPACE? NO, NO AND NO.
NASA'S BUFFOONS ARE ONLY SWINDLERS

I'd just like to point out that Gravity Assisted Trajectory only accelerates the probe when the probe passes behind the planet.
That is, given a fixed point in space along the planet's orbit, the planet must pass this point before the probe does, and the probe's trajectory angle need to be less than perpendicular to the planet's orbit. Otherwise it will slow down.
If the probe is aimed to reach a planet's orbit before the planet, then the probe's absolute velocity will decrease. This was done when the probe Galileo entered orbit: once it came to it's destination, aiming the probe in front of the planet made the probe slow down enough to allow the planet's own gravity to capture it into clockwise orbit (there's a better word for that, but it currently escapes me). |
