So I got a spam email tonight which for a few sentences went on and on about how I could earn $1,000 a day or more (some people making $100,000 in three months) with my computer. It then said the best way to find out more would be to "visit my web site."
The problem was, no Web site address was offered. And the site in the "from" address goes to the ISP provided for members of a buyer's club in Britain (like if CostCo or Sam's Club offered Internet service).
So I'm guessing that someone got sucked into a standard email scam, but in his/her haste to cash in, neglected to put in the URL needed to send him/her money. Maybe he/she will try again, if that account doesn't get closed down.
