Disabling all cookies will mean you can't log in at all and will cause other problems as well.

Thanks anyway Gezz, you tried. But that's what I was trying to say, when I go into the files and try to do something I get a message that says, something terrible will happen to the computer if I click delete or whatever. BTW, whatever that path was you were talking about, was beyond my comprehention anyway. NOW, back to the problem. I'm STILL logged on as Snake. How can I log on as Woody? If I can't log off I can't get a fresh square to put a different password. Well, I should be greatful for this, soon it will become an important problem in my mind and will take away other thoughts such as plotting to kill....... on never mind!

Thanks for all the effort in trying to fix this PITA. I've tried all of the suggestions so far and gotten nowhere. I guess I'll just have to live with it.

One last effort, we will get this fixed for you Snake......
If you browse through your cookies folder you should see ****@skepticfreinds[2] or similar. If you double click on this it is just a small text file with your login details. Delete this file and youu should be O.K.
Restart Internet Explorer just to be safe.....I'm sure this works.....

Thank you for the advice. One thing though, I can try to delete that cookie but what's Internet Explorer? And how do I restart it?

It's probably a browser related issue then. I still don't know why that should be the case since as far as I know most Netscape users don't have problems. But like I said the code is designed for IE. Do you at least see what posts are new? The second thing the cookie does, after seeing if you are logged on or not, is check when your last visit was so new posts since then can be indicated. Without that working seeing what's new would be a huge hassle.
I think I've figured it out. On machines with NS your board software is not updating the logon/off status in the cookie. So when we logoff the board tells us we logged off but when we come back the cookie tells the board that we are still logged on. So the way we users see it, we never logged off. Check your code to see if this looks possible. ;)

A PITA is a severe discomfort in the muscle structures that provid posterior articulation of the femur. In short it's a Pain In The A**.

Maybe if you'd speak English I could (do what you suggest). But why did it work last week (logging on and off)and suddenly it doesn't? I used to log on and off....no problem, I did nothing different, and now it won't log off.

This is like weird! Lisa has at least two posts, one in this folder and the other in Humor that are dated 7/5.....but they are not at the end of the list of messages. Is it my computer or SFN or her? Can anyone else see them, I can't.

Yea, she told me after I posted that, but how come her name was on as last poster, and there was NO post. You mean because she edited it, and possibly took it off, the name is still there?
