That way, a larger part of the mutations occurring are neutral, as we have the ability to compensate for negative genetic mutations like hemophilia, colour-blindness, diabetes, physical deformities, various mental disabilities etc.
Changes in homo sapien sapien are now more than ever subject to genetic drift rather than natural selection.....

We haven't removed selection pressures, just manipulated them. While we keep a hemophiliac alive long enough to reproduce, that is as much a selection pressure as having them die before child bearing age.

Mab wasn't saying we removed selection pressures, just lessened them quite a bit.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Natural selection pressure would be hemophiliacs bleeding to death before reproducing, selecting non-hemophiliacs for survival. By medicating hemohiliacs and taking care of them to live to procreate, we have eliminated (or at least greatly reduced) that particular natural selection pressure.
Now the hemophilia genetic disorder is subject to genetic drift, lingering in the genome in a way it wouldn't have only 10'000 years ago.
