Yep, they're still arguing...

One guy says that global warming is affecting hurricanes, note that he talks about intensity, not necessarily frequency of them...while this second article, blog really, heartily disputes that idea. He has graphs supposedly from NOAA

I think the issue is any local or single season phenomenon can be accounted for so far as within the previous range of variation. But at some point we are going to clearly be out of that range.

Today's hurricanes may be the result of global warming or still within the range of past weather variation. In my limited understanding of the science I'd say both are true.

Just to be fair the graph from the NOAA is for US strikes, which has really little to do with the number or intensity of hurricanes that form.


If I knew then what I know now then I would know more now than I know.
