When can you say a spacecraft is in space?
Nice way to advoid the question. It still stands though. |

Paulos, the generally accepted definition of where "space" starts is 100 km altitude, although an older U.S. definition is 80 km altitude. Objects on ballistic trajectories into space (e.g., the first Mercury flight, sounding rockets, and the recent SpaceShipOne flights) are easily tracked via radar and radiotransponder to verify their altitude. If one takes "in space" to mean actually orbiting the Earth, then thousands of such objects are tracked by NORAD radar (and presumably other nations' as well). But you can also observe hundreds of satellites with the naked eye at night, and use these observations to calculate (or verify) their orbital parameters, using equations of motions derived centuries ago.
Or you can simply ask someone who has satellite TV. If you want to see more precisely where a geosynchronous satellite is, ask someone with a C-band antenna (one of the bigger backyard dishes).
The short version is: we know exactly when a spacecraft is in space. |

Sorry, guess I should have made myself clear. How is determining when a spacecraft is in space relevent to Maverick's question to BB about whether or not he believes spacecraft are faked?
Edit: I jut figured out the relevence, never mind. |

The Chinese go to space in our TV time but they don't film anything, the start, the re-entry, the Earth like NASA buffoons when didn't go to the moon. The Chinese are destroying our economies because they copy our products and sell them at lowest prices. They have copied NASA buffoons style also in their enterprise in space. We will never see the most exciting moments of their enterprise because it's another big hoax like your never happened landings on the moon, on Mars, on Titan and so on.
Try to understand: rockets can't land going backwards using their engines as a brake and can't brake in space retro burning.

Except when it's the Western companies relocating the production to China.

Actually, their spacecrafts are based on Soviet/Russian space technology.

I'm pretty sure that China is taking the first steps right now with the goal to land on the Moon. Also, we all know that USA, ESA and Russia have landed on various worlds: Venus, the Moon, Mars and Titan. There is no reason to doubt it.

Rockets are being used for course corrections, altitude and attitude control, and to slow down during descent. I'm not sure why this should be impossible.
But, I'm guessing you're saying all these things for your own amusement, so perhaps I shouldn't take any of it seriously. |

Your rocketship babe picture must be faked furshur. Notice how the horizon isn't horizontal and the vanishing point ends to the left in the picture. "Rocketship babes like chinese buffoons". |
