Thanks for the link, Star. I've been kinda-sorta keeping track of these for years in the hope that one of the many sighting each year might be confirmed.
Nothing yet, alas...

Funny, just recently I picked up a book at a thrift store because it had a picture of a thylacine and was published before they were extinct, 1908. It turned out to be a very nice animal encyclopedia of that era and I was glad I got it. I had always heard them called Tasmanian Tigers. The book was the first reference I recall that referred to them as Tasmanian Wolves. |
