I always hate the massive ammount of nonsensical answers and flawed logic that gets dumped on your lap (or thrown in your face) whenever you try to have a conversation with a TrueBeliever(tm).
I'm sure you all know what I mean, the endless number of fallacious arguments, the blatant contradictions, the crazy apologetics...
Well, I was trying to think of a single word that could be used to describe all of this, without having to try and stop to explain the various fallacies and broken arguments to those who use them.
I may have come up with one.
A brief google search, before making this post, shows zero hits when searching for my new word. But maybe it has been used somewhere before, hard to say.
Anyway, on to the new word.
The next time you are faced with some crazed Hovindesque creationist argument, or obviously fallacious bit of logic in defense of some religious point of view, you all have permission to use my new word (if it is indeed a totally new word, and I have any actual say in it's use).
re-lig`-i-log-ic: 1. Any of the voluminous fallacies of logic used by religious people to defend, or apologize for, their insane beliefs.
ex- Thats a catchy bit of religilogic you have going there Mr Hovind. ex- How does your religilogic explain the 100 known major meteorite impacts, none of which have occured in written human history, if the world is only 6000 years old?
