Hey! I noticed that some folks have been utilizing the calendar! That's great, keep it up. Remember...any member can add an event.

If you click the "Private" button only you will be able to see that event.

Well I would, but nothing exciting ever happens around my Neck of the Woods, and I mean that, literally.

You see, I live in New Hampshire, and while I would, call it Boring, I usually reserve that word for things as Stimulating, as Watching the Grass Grow.

This time of year, there's nothing, even remotely, that exciting, going on around here!

If you Ignore Your Rights, they WILL, go away.

Try living in South Dakota.

You people make me sick. Heh, he!
Here in Los Angeles with robberies, shootings and car chases, police hilicoptors flying overhead all the time, rush hour traffic, raw sewage in the ocean and any number of busy, hurried people running about to who knows where, I'd give almost anything to have some piece and quiet and sweet smelling air. Want to trade?

No, I'll hang with the peace and quiet. What I meant is, there's zero, zip skeptical organizations here in SD. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for Shermer or Randi to show up and give a talk at the civic center.
I do have a circle of skeptic friends I hang with, oddly enough, at the local biker bar. The other night the bartender accidently changed the channel from ESPN to a John Edward show. "Turn that moron off" came the cry from about a dozen chain carrying, black leather garbed stubble faced roughnecks. The men were even worse. The show was changed back to NASCAR and the debate on wussy school board decisions was rejoined.
I'll take my skepticism where I can find it, I guess.

LOL!!! Wonderful!

Just to indulge my morbid curiosity, I watched some of the Edward show last weekend. I thought everyone here had been exaggerating about how awful it was.

I lasted about 3 minutes before I had to go wash it off.

Gee, even my daughter, who has more stomach for JE than I, can see how he's reading people. She keeps up a running commentary until I go over the top, about five minutes later, then she changes the channel.

And I missed Shermer at the Adam's Mark yesterday and today.
