Didn't these people break a commandment (thou shall not steal), since they stole what wasn't theirs and destroyed it? Since that commandment is high up in the decalogue, wouldn't that trump any "thou shall not drink" law?

Or maybe I shouldn't try to understand it...

Let's see, thou shall not kill except abortion doctors and gays.

Thou shall not bear false witness unless you are a Republican smearing your opponent in a race, try to get someone else to smear for you if you can.

Thou shall not commit adultery unless you are Republican and then it is OK but a public apology might be in order if you get caught....

Thou shall not steal except if it's through a bit of cronyism or corruption. The taxpayers and stockholders don't count.

I think it was the fine print on those commandments you missed.

Sorry, my edition of the bilble didn't have the fine print. I must have taken it too literally. :-)

Nation of Islam? Maybe. Or maybe:

The foundation of morality is to . . . give up pretending to believe that for which there is no evidence, and repeating unintelligible propositions about things beyond the possibliities of knowledge.
