To the SFN Staff, my hat is off to you guys. I've read through all the posts of Mark Purchase, and I really don't know how you did it. Okay, not true, I know you could answer him because you're skilled debaters, and you're educated and knowlegable in your subject. That's not what I mean. I usually think I'm the absolute epitome of patience, but that guy was making my teeth hurt. Where on earth did he attain the title of "Dr." for one thing? I don't know what school he went to, but all of my professors and instructors considered "proof" to be documented fact or something measureable. All else is merely opinion. Considering his "opinions" (I could not ferret out any facts in his missives), do you think you've heard the last of him? Lisa

I have also wondered what Dr. Purchase is a doctor of. We may never know. Did you check out his website? I just couldn't believe it when I saw how he edited our mail. It really says a lot when they do that. I also like it when someone says they read what's here at SFN and then start bitching about things we never said and wouldn't say. Maybe someone slipped in a page called "The Awful Truth About God" and I never noticed.

Have you ever read the book "The Autobiography of God"? Probably the funniest book I've ever read. Finding out the author won't be easy, because really, my dog ate it. She's got this thing about books. And big teeth. I liked the part where Lot is bitching about his wife being turned to a pillar of salt, and god tells him to quiet down, or he'll turn him into a pillar of pepper and his daughters into matching condiment dishes. Think Pratchett meets Adams meets PJ O'Roarke meets Dave Barry type of humor. This week I'll root around in the basement, since I kept what Heidi didn't chew to pieces, and try to find the author.
