One of the most frequent claims of ufologists is that UFO's cannot be conventional aircraft because they move in ways that conventional aircraft cannot.
However, so much of the ufo footage out there is just set against sky. No clouds, skyline, to treeline to determine if the object is even in motion AT ALL. Further, given the shaky camera work of most all of these things, its even harder to tell if its moving or not.
Just a bit of food for though.

Good point. Also, from the photographic examples you showed earlier, it appears that the clear majority of UFO "photos" are actually deliberate hoaxes. And moronically crude ones at that. |

Plus, an aircraft that is coming straight towards you can also appear "motionless" for extended periods of time, especially in the clear desert air out west where many of these UFO sighting occur.
