Its a massive plot by the new world order/ufo's to set up a worldwide image monitoring system.

Didn't you see that big ad that dominated half the web page? That's their business plan. And the bandwidth can't be all that much. They essentially limit the images to small jpegs, which don't have very big file sizes. With the advances in server memory, picture storage is relatively cheap. Some companies like MSN will host photos for free with an account.

Spawning carp, taken at Lake Devon, NC.

Painted turtle, taken in the Dismal Swamp.

Another of Charlotte. This attractive, little orb weaver set up shop in the middle of my front door. For a couple of weeks I'd regretfully break her web going out in the morning, and each night, she'd spin it back. I was leaving a dim light on to attract insects for her. Anyone who doesn't love spiders has no soul!

Got a problem; there's a couple of pics I'd like to show but they are too big. I downloaded the resizer program reccommended by Image Shack, and it simply disappeared into the chaotic abyss of my computer. Still can't reduce the size (1095, well ofer the limit), and can't even find the damnable program. What am I doing wrong?

Ok, better late than never. I took this from my front yard with a small telescope & digital camera.

Great photo, astropin!
