While I am quite sorry to hear about your health problems, and I wish you a speedy recovery, I'm happy to hear you'll likely be writing on here more. Your comments are usually above the average in both quality and charm. Take care of yourself.

Thanks! Most of the writing that I've been doing is for my next Kil Report, all about my weekend at TAM4. Hopefully it will be done by the end of the week giving Dave just one more thing to edit…

About that cat shit in the box comment, Kil...it's not like you never have to do anything else with it.

Ahhhh, I'm just messing with you. By the way, Michelle cleans out the cat box… I just don't want to be forced to walk a dog and pick up fresh shit. We do not have an enclosed yard…

BTW, lovastatin is the only generic statin available so far. That's what I take. It works fine so far (2 years+). The cost difference is $300 vs $50/month. Insurance or not, the cost gets paid by the individual somewhere in the system.

I can mention that to my doctor. But he is the one who writes the prescriptions… Thanks though.

Ah, well, I've never been quite that zealous about anything, really. I guess my business trip did coincide with that comment a bit too well, though.

No, I simply meant that I recognize the need for taking 30 minutes a day of "my own time" which I would normally use for SFN-related stuff and instead putting it towards getting into a shape other than round.

Wonderful summary, BTW.

I've done that myself. I joined Weight Watchers and try to walk a significant distance several times a week and do at least a shart walk every day. It bites into other time but it's worth it.

As Kil has mentioned in chat, he underwent a second angioplasty and stent today, April 15th.

Here's hoping that everything went well, and hoping for an even speedier recovery.

Hope everything is going well for you Kil.

Angioplasty is a fairly low risk procedure these days, so I'll drink a beer for you tonight and toast your speedy recovery.

Actually, I went though the procedure on the 14th. They let me out today. It went well and I'm feeling pretty good, all things considered. One small misshape was that I did start to bleed after they took the artery catheter out. Taking the damned thing out is a procedure in itself that takes a couple of hours. Anyhow, I had to have it “fenced” and go through letting off on the pressure again after I realized that I was lying in a small pool of blood. Oh well.

This time I will only be down for about a week. Maybe less.

The funny thing is I went in with a side ache from a pulled muscle or something that I gave myself coughing. They gave me plenty of morphine for that and sent me home with a prescription for vicodin. So I'm pretty loaded now and have to go see my regular doctor to find out what's going on with my side. It's always something…
