I found this in a different forum:

[The first two-thirds of this post was originally from aish.com, and then another 9/10th of what remained was orginally from EvilBible.com - only the last paragraph seems to be original to the poster from "The Black Vault" who cobbled the first two parts together. I'm snipping the lot due to copyright concerns, except for zandore's notes above and below. - Dave W.]

Interesting

Zandore, couldn't you have just posted a link to the post you quoted with some comment? As it stands, you have not even posted a link to the source for this copy and paste job. I am going to require that you do that, and do it quickly or I will delete your post. We allow you to copy some and sometimes all of the text as long as it is in quotes and it is sourced and not a copyright violation. I understand that your post is not spam. On the other hand I can't start making exceptions for some members while deleting the posts of others for what is essentially the same violation.

I have had a tough week dealing with sock-puppets and copy and paste jobs that were definitely spam. Give me a break already…

Exceptions. Great Kilbonic though.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Never said you did. Still, if you copy something from another site, you must post a link to that site. It's also a good idea to get permission from whoever wrote the original to re-post it at another site.

zandore,

The best way to avoid the wrath of the mods (who have very valid copyright concerns) is to post the link and then the first paragraph of the text you are linking to, or snippets of text, and then make your own points or conclusions.

Most of us are more than willing to open links and read material.

Don't take it personally or anything, they just want to avoid any possible copyright issues. There are people out there who will resort to litigation instantly.

I did not take it personal. It is hard at this forum to tell who the MODS are and I was not sure about Kil.

Sorry Kil

That is a big switch from the other forum I go to.

That's why we've got the Staff page and list the moderators on the Forums page.
