What? You didn't care for the subtly-layered and nuanced humor of this intellectual satire? Liberals are pussies! Get it?

[sigh] Such one-note guffaws are about all one can expect from mouth-breathing conservatives nowadays. Notice that the focus of the piece is something nebulous like "manliness" instead of something measureable like, you know, "intelligence." Compare this with the Beskeptigal's post about Republican policies. Notice how it actually makes salient points on actual issues, instead of resorting to mindless name calling and back-patting. It would be one thing if Republicans and Conservatives actually stood for something, but as far as I can tell their entire agenda basically boils down to "fuck you."

Not only do the conservatives like to paint liberals as somewhat "less than manly" and conservatives as "rugged", but the irony lies in the fact that most conservatives were too much of chicken-shit cowards to actually join the military.

The current ruling conservatives are largely Ivy-League educated and the cliche "silver spoon"/ trust fund babies who spout nonsense like "pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps".

They openly snivel and whine in fear of some imaginary sky daddy.

Witness Rush Limbaugh and his drug bust and running to Roy Black to keep him from being sodomized in jail.

Gutless turds...

"What the hell is an Aluminum Falcon?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I thought my Dark Lord of the Sith could protect a small thermal exhaust port that's only 2-meters wide! That thing wasn't even fully paid off yet! You have any idea what this is going to do to my credit?!?!"

"What? Oh, oh, 'just rebuild it'? Oh, real [bleep]ing original. And who's gonna give me a loan, jackhole? You? You got an ATM on that torso LiteBrite?"

You sushi eaters (and I count myself among you) may want to think about tempering your consumption:

Eating Sushi Supports Rev. Moon.

quote:
Adhering to a plan Moon spelled out more than three decades ago in a series of sermons, members of his movement managed to integrate virtually every facet of the highly competitive seafood industry. The Moon followers' seafood operation is driven by a commercial powerhouse, known as True World Group. It builds fleets of boats, runs dozens of distribution centers and, each day, supplies most of the nation's estimated 9,000 sushi restaurants.

Although few seafood lovers may consider they're indirectly supporting Moon's religious movement, they do just that when they eat a buttery slice of tuna or munch on a morsel of eel in many restaurants. True World is so ubiquitous that 14 of 17 prominent Chicago sushi restaurants surveyed by the Tribune said they were supplied by the company.

The foundation of morality is to . . . give up pretending to believe that for which there is no evidence, and repeating unintelligible propositions about things beyond the possibliities of knowledge.
T. H. Huxley

Not that I ever ate bait, but I'll never look at a fish the same way again.

See Doc, you prove my point. Your wrapped just a little to tight there. Lighten up a bit. This was placed in comedy because it is nothing but comedy and that is all it was ever intended for. It was never intended to be taken seriously and the fact that you get all tweaked over it just tells me you need to get out for some fresh air a little bit more often. Come on, Filthy and the conformist cargo could even find humor in it.

(bill) I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the creator of the piece, whoever it is, was not trying to refute the mass email "What it takes to be a Repub." but rather was producing satire and/or comedy. (comedy to some people that is) Nor was he/she trying to match the out right genus thinking that it, obviously, took to write that epic document.

Sheeeese, you must be a real treat to have around at parties....

Do I? Am I?
I recognized it for the irony it was meant as, I just didn't find it humorous.

I didn't get tweaked all over it, but yeah, maybe I need to get laid more often. Don't we all?

It was probably satire written by a liberal.
