Anyone seen the movie and care to comment?

I saw the movie opening night and found it quite powerful. I appreciated the way it took no sides and simply tried to tell the story the way it happened. It was still very emotional but I brought my own full plate of emotion into the theater with me.

There were several scenes that I left the theater thinking about:

One was how both terrorist and flight 93 passengers were fearful throughout the film.

Another involved scenes involving terrorist and passengers praying before they died.

A third was how human all parties were portrayed.

The last is how messed up we were to allow this to happen and how slow we were to respond. When you see everything happen quickly and realize the timeline you can't believe it takes so long for anything to happen. What if it had been the Russians atttacking or something of that magnititude? Obviously there were people working very hard on the problem at the time and their frustration was evident as they ran into more and more red tape.

I personally felt that there was very little drama injected into the movie. By that I mean no heroic music, no melodramatic dialogue or anything like that. It just felt like an accounting of what happened and what the order of events were. Obviously we don't know every single detail but what was filled in seemed very plausible and a good "best guess" about what might have taken place.

I'm sure some people will hate this movie and some will like it more than I did and I hope some of you post here.

I'll put it on my list since @tomic says so. My wife is not in a hurry to see it, though, so it may wait for video.

Went to see Akeelah and the Bee. That was very good. A lot better than I thought it would be.

I think I should add that there's nothing uplifting about this movie. I was surprised by the quality of the movie and the way the story was told. It was quite a relief that this movie didn't get the Hollywood treatment.
