Any opinions regarding this refutation of the christ character. It is from a unique perspective, IMO. From the Jewish community in an attempt to protect themselves from missionaries and the commonly accepted existance of christ.

Here's my problem: something of this quality should have supporting research - some of it is really familiar but some of it isn't - and this document does not have an attached bibliography.

i once asked a friend, who is a professor of classical history, about evidence for the existance of jesus. he said that he was under the impression that ample evidence existed, but since he was intrested in an earlier period, he didn't really know. said friend is an athiest ex-catholic so he might be influenced by early indoctrination.

but trish, you are exactly right, the credibility of the argument would be helped by a very clear citation of sources and footnoting. while i would like to believe his thesis, the artice presents a strong ideological/religious bias, therefore i must be skeptical.

The problem also is that this is not the original source site. The link at the bottom is broken and I have yet to find it elsewhere - despite the claim that it is floating around the net. I would love to look at some of the source documentation.

I have just sent an email to the person who is responsible for the site explaining that the link does not work, and asking for verifiable documentation if possible. Hopefully, he/she will provide another way to find the origional document.

Thanks Boron, apparently I need to fully engage my brain once in a while. I should have thought to send an email out to the author of the sight.
