Why do they always skip that?

Let me take a stab at that one. Because conceding that would admit that they are wrong and could lead to a further investigation of the origins of the Jesus myth quite possibly in turn leading to an erosion of already shaky dogmatic foundations?

the Bible says that Mithrains brought baby Jesus baby shower presents. Why do they always skip that?

I believe he refers to the Magi.

There is no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our world. It underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've known. Sagan

The Magi-where our word magic comes from-were a class of Priests of Mithra. They are not "kings from the East." One of their jobs was to keep tabs on the Zodiac-mostly capricorn and aquarius-for signs from Mazda of the "second coming."
The first time Mithra was born he was found by shepherds (which was very strange because he was born before the start of mankind) and raised by them. That's why he is called "the Good Shepherd."
The Magi wanted his second coming, which would mark the end of the world, to be more welcoming (people were going to be sent to Hell and they wanted to butter him up) and so inadvertently did a great deal to further astronomy.

To have Magi show up at Jesus' birth with gold, frankensese and a gift certificate to a the Mer diaper service is to declare that Jesus is Mithra returned to us. There is no other reason for Magi would come. They certianly didn't make a habit of attending the birth of ordinary kings.
The real Mithrains were really POed that the NT had this part.
