"The more things change the more they stay the same."

Just THIS In....

Pope Challenges Spain Over Family Values 12:48 p.m. ET
VALENCIA, Spain (AP)--Pope Benedict XVI stressed traditional family values Saturday during a quick visit to Spain, challenging a Socialist government that has angered the Vatican by instituting liberal reforms such as gay marriage and fast-track divorce.

Orwellingly Yurz sez:

I was driving back from lunch yesterday, and near a very busy intersection in my city, I saw some guy with a makeshift looking placard which read: "CALIFORNIA, REPENT!" My first thought was: I guess some screwed-up people are really getting frightened about having to accept homosexuality as a natural part of the animal kingdom. This guy and his associates are probably praying for God to
make California fall off of the continent if we don't...uh, repent.

We've once again arrived at the GIVE ME A BREAK point in discussions.

Straight and Disappointed, oy

Well, I had no idea that California's only "sin" was having some homosexuals.

Give me a break, too.

Well, Dave maybe you could supply me with a list. Hint: If you need a break, don't read what I post.

Name something commonly thought of as a vice. Someone in every state is doing whatever you'd care to name. I find your knee-jerk reaction to some guy's sign to be a symptom of the "culture wars," and not in any way productive towards solving the problems that prompted the guy to be holding that sign in the first place.

Now why is it that I'm the one who should change my behaviour? If you don't like my responses to your comments, you don't have to read them.
