I like'em! Only one that would be a problem is number 2. One person's "necessary" is another's "unnecessary"...

True, but number 10 allows us to better define numer 2.

Reminds me of The Real 10 Commandments
1. Trust good character more than promises. 2. Do not speak falsely. 3. Do good things. 4. Do not be hasty in making friends, but do not abandon them once made. 5. Learn to obey before you command. 6. When giving advice, do not recommend what is most pleasing, but what is most useful. 7. Make reason your supreme commander. 8. Do not associate with people who do bad things. 9. Honor the gods. 10. Have regard for your parents

voicing opinions or ideas that are contrary to current administration positions is supporting terrorism and may in fact be found to be treasonous by asscroft.

hatten_jc, can we have a phonetic translation. I know you've said that Sweedish sounds like it's spelled. But you are using characters that I (and probably others) don't recognize and don't know what sound they make.
It is by the goodness of God that in our country we have those three unspeakably precious things: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the prudence never to practice either of them. -Mark Twain |

Hey! I like translations. At some point I think it would be cool to have all of SFN trandlated into as many languages as possible so that more people can be reached.
That new version of SFN code with multiple language support is not that far off. They say the code will be released soon.

hatten_jc - Speaking of Sweden.... me and my wife are heading there on the 26th of this month. My wife is from a small town called Morbylanga in Sweden, so we are going to visit her family for the holidays. In case you didn't know, Morbylanga is located on the island called Öland. We are looking forward to it and are ready for a brief, but extreme change in climate. We live in South Florida where the weather has been warm and sunny. (Was even swimming at the beach today). I heard there is much snow in Sweden now. What about where you are?
Anyway, I showed my wife your translation of the New and Improved Ten Commandments and she said you did very well. (She did say that there is supposed to be an "a" at the end of "rättvis").
BTW - Here is a great online Swedish-English Dictionary that I sometimes use that you may find useful. http://www-lexikon.nada.kth.se/skolverket/swe-eng.shtml

Should we "trandlate" it into English first?
Sorry. Sometimes I just can't help myself.

That reminds me of the very funny book Illegal Aliens. At one point a street gang manages to take over an alien spaceship. While negotiating with the U.N. the universal translator has the horrendous task of trying to translate english into english.
As members of that gang said (courtesy of the translator}
"That inhales" "that exhales"

Hey @tomic, if you ever need a hand for the German side of things, I am your man.....
My parents made me do German school when I was a wee lad, I hated it then, but by christ I am glad I did it now!!!!
Thumbs up to parents that help you learn!!!
