Texas Investigates Gunfire on Border 12:48 a.m. ET

HARLINGEN, Texas (AP) -- Authorities were investigating Thursday
whether Mexican gunmen who fired on deputies and Border Patrol agents
from across the Rio Grande had crossed into the U.S.

Orwellingly Yurz sez:

At another site, not too many weeks ago, I made a comparison of the U-S/Mexican border with the Israeli/Gaza Strip border.

(And now...an open "wound" to G. War Bush.)

G. War, the white courtesy telephone has been ringing for you since 2000, and you haven't had sense enough to answer it yet. What you're doing, G. War, is not unlike what Saddam, Kim Jong Il, Mamoud Amadinejah, Hamas, Hezbollah and Israel's military have done. The leader of the free world does NOT pour gasoline---which is way too fuckin' high these days---on a fire that's been blazing for longer than you've been alive, for Chrissakes. Suggesting that we should put pressure on Syria at this juncture is wholly insane.
