Yo: Just THIS In....

Iraqi Prime Minister Denounces Israel's Actions

By EDWARD WONG and MICHAEL SLACKMAN
Published: July 20, 2006
The denunciation was a sharp break with the U.S. position and was noticeably stronger than those made by Sunni Arab governments.

Yip, I can tell the new outbreak in Lebanon and Israel is being run by the Bush/Cheney cabal. This latest military action has all of the earmarks of being as well-thought-out as their invasion of Iraq. These guys are doin' a heckuva job!

Yo: Does that mean that you think the Iraqi prime minister is being cynical when he disses the 'raelis, or that his position is predictable, and that this is another example of the dismal Bush foreign policy. Such a reply could give one the notion that you support the Bushits in these visionless follies.

Hehehe. The unfortunate result of giving someone choices (in this case "Democracy") is that sometimes they will choose other than how you want them to...witness the current U.S. Presidency and the current Cdn Prime Minister.

Yo! You're so right about that, dglas. The Bushits can't conceive that. As I've said over and over, democracy grows from the roots up. If the Bushits had been less neo-conish about aiding others besides, just Israel, in the Middle East, the democracy vote may have gone to a majority of Palestinians and Iranians that would've been less bellicose toward Israel...and wallah...the United States of 'Merica. Bush's "history experts" have evidently forgotten that a majority of Germans democratically elected a guy by the name of Adolph Hitler, for chrissakes!

Ya suppose that we "Mericans and Canadians have gone and done the same thing?

The Shi'ia tilt in the new Iraq government, and their sympathy to the Shi'ia Hezbollah movement, doubtless accounts for why they are more hostile to Israel than are Saudi Arabia and some of the other Sunni Arab nations during this Lebanon war. Secret ties between the Iraq government and Iran, one of Hezbollah's main sponsors, may also contribute to this attitude.
