YO! Just THIS In...
U.S. Aid Stirring Suspicion in Venezuela 3:08 p.m. ET
CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) -- The U.S. government is spending millions of dollars in the name of democracy in Venezuela -- bankrolling human rights seminars, training emerging leaders, advising political parties and giving to charities. But the money is raising deep suspicions among supporters of President Hugo Chavez, in part because the U.S. has refused to name many of the groups it's supporting.
Orwellingly Yurz sez:
These actions on the part of the U-S are not to be construed as anything even similar to the time back in the 60's when the U-S gave Iran a nuclear reactor and weapons grade uranium to develop nuclear power, is it? Furthermore, I'm wondering, since the U-S is now trying to "spread" democracy in Venezuela, maybe it could also give democracy a boost a bit north and west of there.....in Mexico.
