I think I'll hold off looking at this until Saturday. I gotta work tonight and Saturday morning, so that'll give me about 40 to recover from this.

Random thoughts re: this article...
quote: Secular Humanism, widely mocked and disparaged, a few decades ago, is now the dominant faith of the nation's cultural elites. The moral tenets of humanism are replacing those of Christianity in our public life.
"Why, the only high profile Christian these days is whats-his-name, the President guy! Oh, and his AG. I mean, what possible cultural influence could those guys have?"
quote: By 2050, only 10% of the world's people will be of European descent. One third of Europe's people will be over 60, and one-in-ten over 80. Involuntary euthanasia has already come to Europe.
Lots of jumbled crap here. Let me understand, all but 10% of the European lineages that currently exist will either die out or what, be officially terminated by the minority-run lineage police? 'Involuntary euthanasia'? Isn't that a bit redundant?
Oh, hell, I'm trying to keep as humorous as I can but I can scarcely believe one person can harbor so many thoughts of pure ignorance. Maybe Buchanan has finally outlasted his usefulness (did he ever have any?) and should be involuntarily euthanized.

Euthanize him? What, and lose all that potential for amusment? No, no, no!
Ah, my boy, Paddy. Now, he's playing at being Nostradamus, the big difference is the language the gibberish is in.

An outcome profoundly to be desired! For once, I hope ol' Pat is right.

I nominate our prime minister, Jean Cretien.
I won't bore you with his escapades, but suffice to say in any other country he'd probably be the village idiot.
What say you other hosers on the board? And what's the input from the international faction? You Americans, you know Uncle Jean, don't you?

And what are, are other choices. Seems to me considering the people running for "top job", we had no choice really. The problem westerners face is the same problem Quebec has. Not enough population to bring in a prime minister to represent their interests. The Vote gets split. Living in Ontario I voted for Chretien, I did not want Quebec running our Country and Stockwell Day, need I say more. Again I ask, what choice did we have.

You're right, Rick. There really was no choice.
I myself voted Reform because their platform is the one that comes closest to my ideals for government. Note that I said "comes closest to" and not some other phrase that may indicate total acceptance of their policies. Again, the best choice for me out of a bad lot.

Next time vote for Chthulu/Asmodeus when you're tired of voting for the lesser of two evils.
