I believe I have before. It at least seemed familiar.

Pretty good stuff.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.
- Isaac Asimov

I also enjoyed, "No one told Paul about Jesus."

moakley - that was good. Very tasteful, yet powerfully gets the point across.

I have a pdf version which a keep a few printed versions of for deluded individuals who just dont get it, or knock on my door at an inconvenient time.

DoorKnocker: Hello, would you like to read about the great yadayadablahblah.
John: I'm kinda busy, I tell you what, you read mine, and I'll read yours, fair? Goodbye.

I believe this is the original source. Here's the pdf link.

For real assholes, I have a version of "Dear Believer" by Dan Brown which is far less comical but more to the point. I'm not sure about the IP of that one though, so I won't post it all here, but it starts out:"

quote:
Dear Believer, — You asked me to consider Christianity as the answer for my life. I have done that. I consider it untrue, repugnant, and harmful.

You can easily find the whole text by googling the appropriate phrases.

John's just this guy, you know.
