quote: Damn, this is so frustrating, reading these posts and not knowing who Brock, Chomsky and Coulter are.
Chomsky made a bunch of false, knee-jerk anti American statements, Coulter used it as an excuse to whine about feminism.
Thanks for the welcomes!

Thank you for replying but I meant, WHO are they? Like, what credentials do they have? Are they authors, actors, reverends like Falwell. LOL, guess at this point it doesn't matter. I already don't like that Coulter person. I'm not sure what feminism is but I know that people who talk about it are idiots.

Snake,
Noam Chomsky, Institute Professor of Linguistics at MIT, prolific author, popular lecturer, observer of American politics and foreign policy. (Courtesy - rubysues Politically Incorrect Diatribe - Part II)
Regarding Coulter I would have to do a bit more research. I'm sure I could come up with something.
There is no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. It underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've known. Sagan |

Ann Coulter's the blond in the paper with the hair over her eyes.
Noam Chomsky is someone that Rubysue and Piltdown need to actually read before they try to tell you what he said.

Nothing Chomsky said is Anti-American, in fact, he has written much about the Stalinistic idea of calling those who criticize the policy of many governments as "Anti-American." I assume "Knee-Jerk" is just a throw-away meaningless phrase.

I'm going to regret this, I'm sure, but I will respond directly to you just this one time*: The reason I view Chomsky with total disgust and loathing is because I HAVE read him. He is completely marginalized wihin our society (including among many intellectuals on the left) and appeals now only to the hard-core cultist who loves hearing his words but doesn't understand what they mean.
[* New Year's Resolution - responding directly to comments from certain members on the SFN is hazardous to my health. Zanderman is right, by the way - arguing with this individual is a useless exercise in frustration. One should just salute, say "you're 100% right, buddy" and move on to more productive things.]
For the forum's education, Ann Coulter used to write for the National Review and was fired shortly after 9-11 when she advocated going in and converting Muslims to Christianity (the old Crusade trick).

Well, it must be everyone else, right? Can't be you, can it?
We're so fortunate to have such a genius among us.

My god, you two have done it again. Another perfectly pleasant thread had degenerated into Gorgo and rubysue hissing at each other.
Why don't you guys go start a BB of your own where you can tear each other to shreds without bothering the rest of us?
Okay, I apologize, that was uncalled for. But I do kinda get tired of this crap. Especially since neither one of you is going to change the other's mind (or anyone else's, most likely).

Small suggestion.
When dealing with Gorgo, a simple "I have read Chomsky and I strongly disagree with you" should be suffient. Gorgo has shown his unwillingness to see other points of view. Correcting obvious errors, especially when it comes from assertions of your own actions, is good enough. Oddly enough, Chomsky seems to provoke extremes. Either he is the enlightened savior of society, or he is an American-hating idiot. Although I have the views of the latter, I have restrained my contact with Gorgo to refuting statements about my own behavior and experience. It's something that I am a complete authority of that he cannot challenge.

Thanks. Good points. No, extremes are what I've found against. Those people that generally agree with Noam, realize that Noam is limited to what Noam is.

Perhaps rubysue was someone else who was turned on by Gorgo spitting on her in an airport as he so charmingly put it in another thread.

You see, I knew you had a thing for me. Maybe that's Rubysue's problem with me and Chomsky. She's got the hots.

No, not an airport. In San Fransisco. This is when I knew Slater was in love.
"Ahhh, accusations of baby killing. Haven't heard those in awhile. They were before your time Trish. I remember I had a couple of days leave in San Francisco during The Summer of Love and I was in uniform. One young Hippie lady screamed at me on the street that I was a baby killer and spat in my face. Now why she thought that she could get away with impunity doing something like that to a murderer I don't know. Of course nothing happened. I was stunned but I didn't say or do anything due to the fact that I was in uniform. This Gorgo is a joke. Sounds like a refuge from "Darma & Greg""

Your god did that? Well, my apologies, but if you don't think Rubysue loves it you're wrong.

There-there, there-there...everything will be alright. Poor Gorgo isn't understood. But you must remember to take your medications or the nurses will become irrationally angry with you and take away your internet privileges again.
