Don't we all...
You need to elaborate a little. What sort of sincerity? For some sorts of sincerity, this is not the place to be looking.

I'll be sincere with you: if you're only posting these little messages in order to get email privileges here and then start spamming 419s to our membership roles, you're going to be banned pretty damn quickly.
I am about this close to just banning that particular ISP in the Ivory Coast altogether, and ending this repeated torture (though at the cost of an unknown number of potential real members from that country). This sort of balancing act is a bear. |

Your post with all the dots has me curious because it demonstrates a lack of appropriateness. There are few rules about posting but when someone posts just for the sake of posting it helps no one. Someone truly wanting to join a skeptic community and engage in discussions would probably do a lot of reading to find out what kinds of posts are acceptable. Sure, some new members just dive in and that's fine because most of the time they are commenting on something or starting a topic of interest to skeptics. Posting something that makes no sense at all on a topic at the very top of the forum makes me wonder what the purpose of joining is. Forum administrators, especially experienced ones like Dave and myself, are well aware of the methods employed by some to dupe the unsuspecting. We have to stay on top of these things to protect our members even if scam emails are little more than annoying to the educated. I guess what I'm saying is that we're not as easy to fool as some would like to think.

I'm with skeptical Dave and @tomic here. The wording of this post is too close to the stupid scheme posts. |
