"Dr. Dino" finds a niche in lockup
Pensacola, Florida, December 27, 2006 (YEN) -- Dr. Kent Hovind has settled into the routine of incarceration very well, according to Escambia County Sheriff Ron McNesby. Hovind, a Young Earth Creationist who has been convicted on Federal tax fraud charges, is in the Escambia county Jail while awaiting January sentencing.

"Some inmates just seem to find their place in lockup," said McNesby. "Inmate Hovind, for instance, seems to have blossomed in jail. The all-male environment goes down well with inmate Hovind, and reportedly, he goes down well with it, as well."

Here's a link that may provide some minor schadenfreude-style holiday cheer. It's a search form for Escambia County jail inmates. (Note that using the "alias" field returns no matches when trying either "Dr. Dino" or "Doctor Dino." Too bad.)
Also, this link will let you see search court records to see Hovind's checkered legal history (local history; this doesn't include Federal charges). You'll need to go to Public Records, then accept the disclaimer, then click on Court Records, and input his name. Remember, he's Kent E. Hovind. There's a Kent Andrew Hovind who shows up if you don't specify the middle initial.
