Careful there, Pete! An overdose of Chick can be even more hazardous to your blood pressure than a visit from a trio of fixated Jehova's Witness's.
Like a good laxitive, he must be taken a little at a time.
Draws pretty well, though. And Hovind does at least some of his writing.
Wild!

Speaking of toilet paper. Why is it some fundi always seems to leave a pile of Chick flix in public bathrooms? (yeah, I know "why" but wouldn't it be embarrassing to admit you found Jesus on the pot?)
Chick's description of basic scientific principles (e.g., atomic structure) in his cartoons makes me wonder if he got his education off of Bazooka Joe wrappers.

Finding Jesus after too much pot, is, however, quite common.

I mean, you just feel so connected with eveyone and everyone's smile is so nice, and do you think we'll all go out later on, is this shirt okay? and wow, look who almost fell down man is that funny, JESUS! I just burned my fingers. Or something like that. Lisa (Edited for typo, believe it or not)

Yeah, he's been getting his panties in a bunch over people making numerous parodies of his work, and has even sued to remove some of the webpages!

Didn't he do that to Weird Crap? I don't remember if they still have their Chick Fliks up or not.

We used to find his comics thrown over to our side of the fence when I was a kid in high school. My friends and I would alter and redraw on them. We'd change the plots - often with the "nice Christian boy or girl" ending up in hell. Mr. Chick always drew "angels" as young placid blond white men, and "communists" were often Chinese, with Mao caps and single lens reflex cameras hiding in the local drug store, taking pictures of kids buying porno mags like "Mad" and "Cracked." (My highschool girlfriend was Chinese and found that offensive.) Our occasional parodies of Chick schlock helped get us through high school. (Along with reading "Catcher in the Rye" and a few other adventures - like running a fictitious candidate, and later a "king" and finally a (benevolent) "dictator" for student body president.)
