Voters in Sausalito, California have refused to fund a new fire/police department building after a campaign that was partly based on claims that the new facility's proposed location violated the town's Feng Shui.
The old building was destroyed in a flood in 1995 (bad karma, no doubt). The fire and police departments have been working out of a group of trailers ever since.

Please excuse me while I chuckle........

Will our species never pass up an opportunity to slit it's own throat?

DISPATCHER: Engine One, Ladder One, respond to a fire at 123 Sausalito Blvd.
FIRE CHIEF: Uh, that's negative Dispatch. We would have to cross 3rd Ave. which would cut across cosmic lines of force and disrupt the Harmonious Whole.
DISPATCHER: Oh right. What was I thinking!?

Piltdown, do you have a link for that?

What's really scary is that these people are registered voters. I would be interested in knowing what projects they think are worthy of funding.
Folks might be a little loopy here in SD, but they're looking better and better every day.

Working out of trailers. How appropriate. Gotta get closer to the people you serve. Bad Feng Shui. c'mon.

Yes, I heard Dr. Dean Edell talking about that on his radio show the other day. I was standing there in the kitchen listening, with my mouth open! NO, I wasn't eating anyting! I was amazzed at what I was hearing.
BTW, are you making fun of the people who live in my state? California has some very forward thinking laws, so there......
We legalized pot. You have to take the good with the bad, I guess.

Right you are, Snake. But when we take a "potty break" here in Ohio, it has a completely different connotation.
