Has anyone seen the new show advertised on Animal Planet? John Edward has now met his match. Yes folks, we have us a real live Pet Psychic!
What absolute drivel. Hey, I can be pretty glib too. If I bleach my hair and put on my makeup with a backhoe, can I have my own show?
Anyway, I sent a letter to Animal Planet.

"Let me first state that in the past, my husband and I have really enjoyed the Animal Planet channel. It has been both entertaining and informative.
This is why I must question the recent addition of the show "Pet Psychic". I realize yours is a commercial channel, and hence, must make money. However, you also have a reputation for producing some fine educational shows.
May I remind you that many children watch the Animal Planet channel. A child who's critical thinking skills are not delveloped may not be able to tell the difference between truth and pseudoscience. I would urge you to return to the responsible and educational programs your channel has produced in the past.
Regards,"

I think they missed a great opportunity here. Who hasn't looked at Spot or Fluffy and wondered why they do stuff? There are vets out there who study animal behavior. I know, I had to take my dog to one. Nothing psychic involved, just tests.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

Just a comment:
Your letter should be in a book as an example about how to complain.
Very nicely worded, short and to the point.
Sorry I've never seen that show, too bad they are bowing down and dumbing down to the common lowest denomenator.

I noticed it listed, but I didn't give it a second look. I'd expect that to follow the Madam Cleo infomercial, rather than on an educational channel. Amazing. What's next? A show featuring exorcisms for ill-mannered pets?
