My brother just got involved with this clown. My brother and sister-in-law are now doing exorcisms for this guy.

When my brother became a Charismatic Christian, I knew he'd eventually get involved with a pinhead like this.

Funny article, in a scary sort of way. And your brother is working for this guy? My, I can see your family gatherings are going to be fun and light-hearted affairs.

This guy does exorcisms. I'd like to see that. I mean I would want to in the front row. Maybe he can exorcise my demons. Then I could be a right wing manipulating fraud like he is. "Funny article, in a scary sort of way" Scary is right. People really believe this guy is for real. Wow! My sympathy for your brother and his wife. I hope they wake up before they get taken.

Agree with Wolfgang.

I've heard of Larson, but I didn't know about the excorcism flim-flam.

Wishing luck and enlightment for your brother and sister-in-law and hoping it doesn't cost them too much.

It isn't likely. They are Charismatic Christians. (a branch of Fundamentalism.) Ever since I told my family 12 years ago I was a Wiccan, family get togethers have been "fun and light". He's still trying to convert me every chance he gets. I'm still trying to get him to think for himself. He just doesn't see the irony and hypocracy of his chosen church. (His minister did 8 years for murder, he went into business with church members where he did day commodity trading where his partners made guarantees on returns and fled the country when it went south.) Not the sharpest tool in the shed due to blind adherence to an extreme faith.

I've been following 'ol Booby for a while (ever since high school, really). I'm surprised he's still going at it.

Just start at the Google URL http://www.google.com/search?q=bob+larson+charlatan

to find a wealth of historical evidence about his failed marriages, failed radio show, failed "exorcisms", adultery, million dollar house in Vail, etc.

Here's probably the best page about this crank:

http://members.freespeech.org/boblarson/

Some of it is old news (really old news) but you have to remember that this guy has been around since the late 70s -- right about the time SATAN started showing up in music. No, really! Don't believe me? Believe BOB!

For those who like usenet, there's always alt.fan.bob-larson

From what you've posted however, I doubt anything in here will do any good. Your brother/sister-in-law sound like they just need to believe in something "more." I highly recommend they NOT go to a $cieno-org. Unless they really like rice and beans and don't mind giving up their money and freedoms.
