Kil and I were messing around with the chat software and it seems to be working, so if any of you's want to set up some chat times, post a message here telling when you can be available to chat. Maybe topic ideas too, whatever.

If a time is decided on, I recommend adding it to the event calendar.

I've tried many times to get into the chat room, when I see someone's there but nothing happens. It's too frustrating.

I remember it wasn't working correctly before, but Kil and I were able to chat last night, so at least two people can be in at once. I think we should have a trial just to see if it works.

I have been in there with 2 others. I am pretty sure the maximum for that chat room is 20. I do recall that I installed that type of chat room because our old host limited our chat options but I have seen no such limitations with the new host so the sky is the limit

Just dropped by and it seemed to work ok - nobody was there at the moment.

How does Thursday night sound? Between 7 and 10 pst? Of course, this is completly self serving....

Thursday should work for me but as long as that is 7-10 PM PT
More than one time is acceptable too. One thing to remember if you are in the chat room is that your session will time out after about 10 minutes and you will no Longer show up as being either on SFN unless you exit and re-enter the chat room.

We'll automatically time out? Or do you mean I'll time out after 10 minutes if I'm just hanging out waiting for someone to show up?

Thursday 7-10 PST sounds doable. I assume, as Lisa suggested, that this time out is for "non-activity", but it still seems extreme. I might do that running to the bathroom or answering my son's homework question. Is this a parameter you can adjust?

Sadly, it is something I cannot adjust. I will look into perhaps having something that refreshes the session if the Pager is open. As of now hte pager times out too, but I think I can put something in it that maintains a session.

Oh, there's a chat room, too. I'd love to. Is there anyone from down under, or perhaps in Japan that would care to chat? A simple glance at the times that I post tends to show that I am completely nocturnal, and at work at those previously mentioned times. So, any Ausies out there want to chat with a crazy American?
