The time is all but upon us when the various candidates for the now-made-dubious-by-Cheney honor of being picked for the Second Slot in the next president's administration. Decisions are being made behind closed doors, in rooms filled with the smoke of expensive cigars and stuff, and the advisers pondering this weighty decision are bowed with the responsibility of suggesting the very best man/woman available.
But the final decision and the ultimate responsibility rests upon the shoulders of just one man in each party: the candidate for the Presidency of these United States.
Long and hard has Johnny McCain pondered the advice he's received and matched it against his own thoughts, and he has come up with a short list of possibles. Of course, this list, being about as secret as it gets with a Republican, was leaked almost before it's completion, and, through some of my more nefarious sources, I have acquired it:

I've been accused, often rightly, of all sorts of evil but never plagerism. Which is not to say that the works of others haven't given me ideas & inspiration.
