I MacLaughlin am the topic today, my dumb ass said the following on national television,

from cnn.com
"Referencing Jackson's comments, McLaughlin said Obama "fits the stereotype blacks once labeled as an Oreo — a black on the outside, a white on the inside."

"Does it frost Jackson, Jesse Jackson, that…an Oreo should be the beneficiary of the long civil rights struggle which Jesse Jackson spent his lifetime fighting for?" McLaughlin asked his panelists."

Discuss my stupidity, go!

I read a too-brief comment on that last night but am still sort'a in the dark on it. Could use a link.

As for the "Oreo" description, I thought that it was kind'a neat when I first heard it bandied about in the '70s, as was "Apple" (red on the outdide, white within). But today, it is so out of date that it has become meaningless. You see, we are all in the same, sinking, stinking boat and race really no longer matters except to those ignorant jerk-offs, and their ilk of all shades, who wave the Confederate Battle Flag (another asinine controversy) and occasionally burn crosses.

As it looks to me right now, McLaughlin was reaching for some controversial filler and failed to get much. But I need a little more info to make a hard statement.
