So the saying goes. When we had a black bear outside our condo the other month, I wasn't too worried walking to and from the car (~50 meters away), even though it was circling the building.
On a highly related note, a woman gardening outside her house near Vancouver was attacked by a black bear the other day. |

Man, that tintype was right out of the roaring twenties, mason jars of white lighting and all! Those revenooers in the derbies are just too much!
The setting looks far too urban for Georgia Moon Busthead or Carolina Catdaddy - more like your friendly neighborhood 'still behind a speakeasy in Chicago or Philly!
You're welcome to the hyphen, but I think we both need to apologize to Mooner for the bad puns!

As a kid (50's), I had a girlfriend whose father & uncles were in the moon business. Did pretty well at it, too.
Oddly enough, or perhaps not, some of the most productive, illegal distilleries were in urban areas where natural gas was available. The hillbillies had to burn wood and were often busted by the smoke. Durn city-slickers!
Today, many of the rural 'shiners have locked up the 'still-house and gone to cultivating the uncultivated weed. It's one of, if not the biggest cash crops in the state.
