Well I hope it goes exactly like that! LMAO!

MUST-SEE TV: Top GOP pundits on accidental open-mic say Palin pick is 'bullshit,' race 'is over'
John Aravosis (DC) · 9/03/2008 05:37:00 PM ET · Link

Watch this now (below). Then send this link to everyone you know:
http://tinyurl.com/open-mic-palin

Two top Republican pundits, Peggy Noonan and Mike Murphy, were just on MSNBC with Chuck Todd, and after their segment was over kept talking about McCain VP pick Sarah Palin. But their mics were still on. Oh my God. Everything we've suspected is true. The GOP is flipped out over this pick. Maybe the evangelical base is happy - maybe - but core Republicans, core conservatives, appears to be apoplectic and demoralized. Noonan was Reagan's most famous speech writer. She's no lightweight in the party, and she's no sexist. Here's the video, and the transcript is below.
They just don't learn, do they? This election is not only historical, but becoming hysterical in the bargain. Maybe Fox'll turn it into a sit-com.

So. Does this mean that Peggy Noonan and Mike Murphy aren't really crazy?

LOL....Oh Sammy....he is truly one of my modern day hero's.

Evidently, Sam got a lot of angry e-mail.

Some highlights of his response:

My concern is that she is a totally unqualified and poorly educated woman who was added to the Republican ticket as a token woman (and Creationist wacko).

*snip*

Needless to say, I find Obama's religious pandering repulsive. The suspicion that he is pandering, out of obvious necessity, and not quite as religious as he makes out, is somewhat comforting, however. But even if Obama were precisely as religious as he appears, he is not a Creationist, Rapture-Ready blockhead. Palin, by all appearances, seems to be one. This is a difference worth noting. Whatever you may think of his politics, Obama is very intelligent and reasonably well educated. Palin thinks the universe is 6000 years old.

*snip*

And I would be frankly terrified to have a religious bumpkin like Sarah Palin in the White House. I think you should share this last conviction. Hence my latest opinion piece.

So I wonder what he really thinks.

Her speech was good but filled with baloney. I think it's about time the Dems start answering her mantra about the Bridge to Nowhere because it's her centerpiece proof of what an extraordinarily ethical person she is. "Thanks but no thanks" my ass. Her version is so at odds with what really happened that it's time for the media to step up and call it for the lie that it is.

That's what you have to love about Sam....he does not hold back. He calmly and coolly tears his opposition to shreds....often right to their face. I don't know if the "Beyond Belief" conferences (http://thesciencenetwork.org/BeyondBelief2/) actually achieve anything....but it sure is interesting to hear the discussions.....even if they are "preaching to the choir" (in my case anyway).

Ms. Churchy would go to Washington with Mr. McGoo, where she would be only a heartbeat away from the big, comfy chair and the pretty, red button. It is my understanding that she is currently back in Alaska getting a crash course in foreign policy, Republican style, to help her with that.

"Sarah Palin's Theocratic End Times - UPDATED
By Frederick Clarkson Thu Sep 04, 2008 at 03:36:48 PM EST print story

I have never believed that the evangelical views of George W. Bush ran deep -- at least as far as relating interpretations of the Book of Revelation to American foreign policy is concerned. And although those who do believe such things were and are a part of the domestic political coalition of the willing, there is no evidence that they were anywhere near running the show, let alone running it towards a cataclysmic outcome. Indeed, Bush's senior military and foreign policy team, whatever else one may think of them, never included anyone with such views.

But more evidence has emerged in one day about Sarah Palin's views in this regard than in the entire career of George W. Bush. That said, the idea that Palin might rise to the presidency not only fairly raises the question of the way that her understanding of the Book of Revelation informs her views on foreign policy, but what kinds of people she would choose to carry out her views as Commander in Chief and as the director of American foriegn policy.

Let's examine the revelations from stories in the Wall Street Journal and the Associated Press, as they will likely inform much of our converation about Palin the days and weeks to come.

topic: Theocratic Leadership

Let's begin with Gene Johnson's Associated Press story -- which is based based on a video of Palin speaking at the Wasilla Assemblies of God church in June 2008 (it has been removed from the church's web site)."

The more I read about her, the nastier a piece of work she becomes. No wonder the Dobson crowd of fundalmentalist freaks adore her so. And y'know what; she's gonna get lots of votes for no better reason than her looks and her belief in the twisted, Christian version of the Spagetti Monster.

Revelation 2:29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

I noticed that yesterday, at a McCain/Palin rally, Palin did not mention the bridge. Probably a good move on her part. She also seemed to get more speaking time than McCain did. But if I were running their show, I would recommend the same thing. Listening to McCain is like taking valium.

It boggles my mind that her lies about the "Bridge to Nowhere" is not being exposed by major media, outside of internet news blogs. That fucking baby does not compare to the fact that she only dropped her support for the bridge when she couldn't have it but kept the earmarks anyway and has asked for more.

And by the way, When Jerry Brown, a democrat, was governor of California, he refused to be driven in a limo to work, preferring to drive himself in a very generic car, refused to sleep in the governors mansion, cut wasteful spending and left the state with a surplus, all while expanding social programs that actually worked. Our schools were better funded...etc. When he ran for president, he refused any contribution over a hundred dollars. And for all of that, they called him "Moombeam", a crazy eccentric running for high office. To this day, Jerry Brown rates as the most honest politician I have ever voted for. Being anti establishment made him a dangerous radical to the opposition and not a Maverick who cleaned up government and left the state better off. Times have changed. Compared to Brown, Palin is nothing but a poser.

As for Palin's social views, she has the RR, so they are not going to let her say what she actually thinks or even allow her to be put in the position of being asked about it. The press is being denied access to her, which in and of itself is mind-boggling, considering that she is running for high office.

I remember Brown, although I was a long way from CA at the time.

The twain we have here is a bit grotesque, really; McCain, who has become Faust for a shot at leading and Palin, once a leader who now has become fluff.

There's a moral in there somewhere....

Given her religious and apparently anti-science stance, I think that we should keep track of her when she lies. Here's one.

McCain checking out Palin's ass. Creepy, but kinda funny.
