Now, I'm trying to befriend the Grox.
| I flew in from one side and made my way out the other and all the way home without getting killed. I founded a series of colonies on unoccupied worlds and used them to rest and buy stuff when I started running out. Too bad for them - I'll never be able to help them when the Grox attack... they're on their own.
Rumor has it that Grox can only survive in T0 worlds and that if you terraform their worlds they die. Which might make a wrinkle in that galactic center visit interesting. |

My son - 5yrs old - plays pretty comfortably by himself up to the space age where he is hampered because he doesn't read well and can't do the missions. So he wanted to show me some building he made for his civilization stage. He opens up his city and the houses are all giant penis'. I did not panic - I had noticed the night before that some smart ass had created big dicks for houses and my computer downloaded them, so I didn't worry about him. But I thought that was funny as hell, he had no idea. He had made the factory himself and thought it was pretty cool... |

Yep, Chaloobi. Both my son and daughter make stuff constantly so you'll get a lot of sometimes bizarre content from my account. |

Last time I checked, I (as HalfMooner) had two "subscribers" in Spore, apparently for the silly things I make. I feel like such a celebrity. Do I understand "subscribers" correctly? And are those two here?

I think I'm going to have to limit content. No more phalic buildings...
On the other hand, my son is now playing the space age with a space ship that looks like an astronaut in a space suit with a gun in each hand. Pretty cool looking.
Maybe Pleco can edit the OP with a list of player IDs we can subscribe to. Dave, what's yours again? |

One thing I've discovered I can't stand is the fact that I cannot UNshare anything. For people to get the things I think are cool, I'm forced to continue to share the crappy stuff that my kid shared while I was in the bathroom or otherwise occupied elsewhere. Sure, he thinks they're cool, but I look at them and cringe a bit. Especially since he thinks a good name is nothing more than mashing his hand down on the keyboard.
I would also like the ability to re-arrange my cargo. I've got a massive amount of biotics, but they're in a bizarre order that means I've gotta keep switching pages up and down while I'm trying to fill up food webs.
But even more than either of the above, I would love it if they gave me the ability to plop down "default" colonies. Every colony I build has exactly the same arrangement of buildings, and it is boring to do it over and over again, one building at a time. Being forced to rebuild every colony from scratch is doing nothing for me but adding to my carpal tunnel syndrome. |

Be warned, if you got the astronaut ship through my account because my son used it, you may get the penis building as well.
I agree with the colony builder complaint as well. Once you get the configuration that gives you the most production without unhappy people, what else is there to do? The configuration never changes, so why make us drag the buildings out over and over again?
Also - what effect do the unhappy people have, anyway? I never bothered to look that up. |

I just made a fairly decent Pierson's Puppeteer, and shared it.

Well done! I'd thought about doing the same a while back. One thing that is lacking in the creature creator is hair. No hairy creaturs allowed. IIRC the Puppeteers have a mop of hair between their necks.
Has anyone noticed messed up graphics since patch #2? I didn't look at what Patch 2 fixed, but it did cause yellow squares and grids to appear on many of the plants, stars and lights on space ships. I wonder if they'll patch it again to fix that. |
