We have all, I'm sure, heard about the Obama Waffles. We know just about everything there is to know about it except who came up with the idea,.....
... Until now. Click the link and prepare to be less than suprised.

More info on one of the racists involved with this here, as well as other McCain-Rove dirt. |
Diversity, independence, innovation and imagination are progressive concepts ultimately alien to the conservative mind.

Lou Dobbs with one of the Obama Waffles creators at the "Value Voters Forum" in Washington DC 12 Sept 2008. And what is Lou holding, one wonders? |

Slap some lipstick on him and send him back to his sty.

Well; while the guy is quite probably a racist suck-up, there is a good chance that the guy gave it to him. I would expect that to be fairly common in this kind of situations.
Of course, the honourable thing to do was to turn it down (and to refuse buddying with the slime); but that's where the 'racist suck-up' bit comes into play. |

By the way; the waffles are mentioned into the Lou Dobbs' Wiki entry. I guess that he might be the next Don Imus. |

Anyone think that this is a sign of Obama starting to hit back? |

I think they are. And not a moment too soon either, IMHO. |

Yeah, Obama is finally starting to punch back.
McCain has had a very bad week. Mostly his own fault too.
Oh, and fuck Lou Dobbs, that guy is a fucking asshole.

Well, some other potentially good news. Not enough to warrant a seperate thread, but good enough to share, nonetheless.

| Wow!
Wick Allison, former publisher of the National Review, has endorsed Barack Obama...
Snip.
His endorsement:
Barack Obama is not my ideal candidate for president. (In fact, I made the maximum donation to John McCain during the primaries, when there was still hope he might come to his senses.) But I now see that Obama is almost the ideal candidate for this moment in American history. I disagree with him on many issues. But those don't matter as much as what Obama offers, which is a deeply conservative view of the world. Nobody can read Obama's books (which, it is worth noting, he wrote himself) or listen to him speak without realizing that this is a thoughtful, pragmatic, and prudent man. It gives me comfort just to think that after eight years of George W. Bush we will have a president who has actually read the Federalist Papers.
Most important, Obama will be a realist. I doubt he will taunt Russia, as McCain has, at the very moment when our national interest requires it as an ally. The crucial distinction in my mind is that, unlike John McCain, I am convinced he will not impulsively take us into another war unless American national interests are directly threatened.
"Every great cause," Eric Hoffer wrote, "begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket." As a cause, conservatism may be dead. But as a stance, as a way of making judgments in a complex and difficult world, I believe it is very much alive in the instincts and predispositions of a liberal named Barack Obama. |
My guess is this defection will not influence many of McPalins followers. I doubt that much more than a handful of them read the The National Review. |

Well, that rare creature, the actual conservative (those few who follow the ideas of Goldwater et al) may be breaking away from McCain/Palin.
Too bad they do not represent any significant voting block.
