Death to Mickey Mouse, the scourge sent by Satan!
And all o' them luscious, volleyball-playin' sluts at the Olympics, whilst we're about it, praise Allah!
How great it is that Christianity, for all the effort put forth, does not have the sole concession on pious lunacy.

"Mickey Mouse has become an awesome character, even though according to Islamic law, Mickey Mouse should be killed in all cases," Al-Munajid tells the interviewer. | At least they're not killing some "witch" this time.
I gotta love this one. If the very "awesomeness" of a cartoon mouse is a threat to Islam, Islam must be mighty lame-o. The underlying assumption here is that Mickey Mouse is "real." And, to me, the even weirder unstated assumption is that Allah is as real as Mickey Mouse.

I suppose the guy 'thinking' is that the Koran teaches that mice are evil and disgusting.
By representing rodentkind in a positive light (and being really good at it) Mickey leads people away from this particular teaching.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
