Right he was an idealist, wanting a harmonius universe. He wanted their to be a God equation, as many modern physicists still do. An expanding universe was a dirty unstructured universe and he wanted nothing to do with it...or so he told me. |

Was Einstein right or wrong about his assertion of "greatest blunder", and how does your answer relate to Dark matter and Dark energy?
Come on kids, at least present that you understand what you are writing about.

| Lay off, Dave-- calebjones a maverick. He has an answer for our problems in understanding gravity. Just you wait. |

Nothing that shows how Dark matter and Dark energy are anything different than say... Invisible Pink Elephants?
Claiming fact without evidence is lazy thinking.

You are presenting a false dichotomy, because when Einstein presented the cosmological constant, he made it with insufficient knowledge. When red shift was discovered and he called the cosmological constant his greatest blunder, he was still speaking from a (new) position of ignorance of certain aspects of cosmos. So the answer to this part of your question is: He was right about calling his cosmological constant his biggest blunder, but it wasn't a blunder for the reason he thought it was.
and how does your answer relate to Dark matter and Dark energy?
| Dark matter and dark energy are expressions for concepts that describe the mass and energy that appears to be "missing" in the universe. With missing, I mean mass and energy that can be inferred to be in the universe, but which we haven't been able to detect yet. Both this undetected mass and undetected energy is affecting value of the cosmological constant, something that Einstein couldn't foresee. |

So calebjones1234, you think that our understanding of gravity is fundamentally wrong? |
