I'm sure I'm not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, "Hey, I think she just winked at me." And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America. This is a quality that can't be learned; it's either something you have or you don't, and man, she's got it.
| As Keith Olbermann pointed out it sounds as if he could have been masterbating.
My reaction was somewhat different. I just thought that her intent, if elected, was to fuck America.
| Yes, I read about that. Lowry needs to get laid, bad!
But it must set some kind of a precident, a VP candidate putting across a whore's come-on. Lot's of people seem to think it's just as cute as a bucket of kittens, but, having been around the world a time or two, I've seen it in every port of call from Barcelona to Subic Bay, and back to Port au Prince. It's always the same lie: "Me love you long-time!"

If I had to do either Ann Coulter or Sarah Palin, the choice would be a no-brainer.

I know this might sound surprising, but it turns out that Palin was completely lying during the debate about her actions as governor re Sudan.
In the debate, she said:When I and others in the legislature found out that we had some millions of dollars [of Permanent Fund investments] in Sudan, we called for divestment through legislation of those dollars |
Except she didn't:a search of news clips and transcripts from the first three months of this year did not turn up an instance in which Palin mentioned the Sudanese crisis or concerns about Alaska's investments tied to the ruling regime. Moreover, Palin's administration openly opposed the bill, and stated its opposition in a public hearing on the measure.
'The legislation is well-intended, and the desire to make a difference is noble, but mixing moral and political agendas at the expense of our citizens' financial security is not a good combination,' testified Brian Andrews, Palin's deputy revenue commissioner, before a hearing on the Gara-Lynn Sudan divestment bill in February. |
Eventually, it seems, Palin came around and supported the bill the second time around (it died in committee the first time). But her claim that when she found out about Alaska's investments in Sudan, she quickly divested is clearly not true. |
