Then there is Joad Cressbeckler - he's cutting into McCain's cantankerous territory.

Diversity, independence, innovation and imagination are progressive concepts ultimately alien to the conservative mind.

"TAX AND SPEND" IS GOOD! (TAX: Wealthy corporations who won't go poor even after taxes. SPEND: On public works programs, education, the environment, improvements.)

The thing that sums up John McCain best for me is his full-on sellout. In 2000 Falwell and Robertson were "agents of intolerance", nowdays he calls them his "base".

Cressbeckler's got an advantage on Johnny Mac among conservatives. But his superior cantankerousness is only marginal, at best. And compared to Palin, the advantage disappears entirely.
