Remember, a while back, when rumors & speculations were floating around about McCain and a foxy, blond lobbiest named Viki Isner? Well, Ms. Isner vanished from the radar screen shortly afterward and everyone forgot about it. Until, that is, now, when we get a reminder: Thursday, October 16, 2008 "I did not have a sexual relationship with Senator McCain" John Aravosis (DC) · 10/16/2008 07:57:00 PM ET · Link 47 Comments · reddit · FARK · Digg It! · Stumble It!
From AP: A female telecommunications lobbyist who became part of an explosive story early this year about John McCain has broken months of silence to deny the main subtext of the account — that she was suspected of being romantically involved with the Republican presidential candidate. "I did not have a sexual relationship with Senator McCain," Vicky Iseman told the National Journal magazine. Um, something smells here. (Not to mention, why give a quote that sounds eerily like Bill Clinton during the Monica affair?)
| I'm inclined to agree wirh Aravosis: whaddafork is this? Further down the article, he makes some interesting speculations as to "whaddafork."
Me, I don't care if McCain was getting a little extra-curricular poon in his spare time. None of my business, really, and if Cindy can live with it, everyone else should be able to as well. But like Aravosis, I must ask: why is this chippy popping up out of the murky grey sky, with her rather hollow (and all too familiar) denials at this late date?
We must await developments -- it might turn out to be interesting, not to come out and say fun to watch.

| #1. I'm with you. I don't care if he's fooling around on the side. Like all things sexual (w/ consenting adults) it's nobody's business but the consenting adults.
#2. McCain looks terrible and is damn near a cripple. How's he get all the blond bimbos? From what I understand, his wife brings to money to the table, so what does she or any other BB see in him?
EDIT: Regarding your citizen signatures - they're ok. I don't dislike them and they cause a head scratch occasionally. I don't see any reason to discontinue unless you're spending too much time on them or something... |

Head-scratching is good. It shows thoughts in process and keeps the livestock stirred up.
I don't want to drop my little People of Interest project altogether, but it doesn't really fit in a signature, especally with a picture (which is the attention-grabber). And Dave has informed me that it screws up the foremat on smaller screens. So, I'm still undecided and Teddy'll be the last. For a while.....
As to Ms. Isner, her reappearence smacks of some sort of political shennagan, perhaps a distraction or just another McCain stunt , that isn't going to work.

Well... I heard about these rumours before (not sure if she was named).
Even if the rumours were not all that publicized as far as the general public is concerned, it makes sense that people in her entourage would have a special interest in it and that the story would be much more prevalent in the circles closer to her.
So, she might have geared that denial toward her acquaintances and it got picked up by a national medium.
Not that I care, really, I have enough REAL reasons not to like the GOP for. |
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. | I don't see how it can benefit him to remind everyone about rumors of his infidelity.... of course I never would have believed Sarah Palin would have benefited his campaign either. In fact, I still don't believe it. |
