Was driving late one night and saw a meteor fly overhead. The thing flashed then broke into at least two visibly distinct pieces. Wanted to call and notify those folks I'm supposed to call when we see that kinda stuff - at CU Boulder. Spaced it. Cool sight though.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

Was it the famous Candian meteor? Or is Colorado too far south to have seen it?

Dunno. We're 38ºN. But I saw this in August not in November. The fox news report on that page though - the one showing the one breaking into pieces is the one that I saw.

Maybe it was precognition?

More likely a hallucinagenic state induced by sleep deprivation and too many hours driving. Or maybe I just didn't know what day it was. I was at the time maxing my DOT hours.
