Y'know Dave, I think I could have called the whole thing right down the line, and so could you. The only suprise was that someone got kicked out on a pretext. Bad PR, that. Very bad. I knew they were stupid, I just didn't realize the degree.
Let's heist a glass to Derek; he done good by doing nothing!

I think/suspect that the creos wanted things to go bad so that they would have material to bitch about how rude and evil the evilutionists are. I can even imagine them hiring extra-security just for that.
When nothing happened, they singled out a young student (easier to push around, less connected and easier to pain with a mean brush) and decided to throw him out. Then they can make up horror stories about his awful, awful behaviour. Lying is, after all, their whole business. Time will tell. |
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. | I think that you are correct. I also think that there'll be a number of made-up stories at AiG and elsewhere in the coming week or so. C'mon Ham, prove me wrong.

Yeah, from what i've been reading, the whole thing went pretty smoothly. As for the "mocking" part ot it, what did they expect? That was just a payback; they mock us all the time. I'm hoping to get up there sometime this winter, if mu pickup's in good enough shape.

Yes, after all, the creationists just implies that half the scientists in the world are liars and part of a conspiracy... Mocking would be so much worse. |

PZ's own write-up on the Creation Misnomer. A tidbit:The space dedicated to Noah's Ark and the flood is very large — it might be the largest section of the "museum" — and the grim horror of that story is treated callously. A diorama contains, rendered in loving detail, a few rocks in a rising sea covered with desperate people struggling and frantically waving to the Ark serenely gliding by. Ah, yes, a little hint of the joys of heaven, when the saved will be able to smugly watch the suffering of sinners in hell. |

Hah! That's what you think. There's a concern troll over at PZ's place that's attacking Derek for daring to wear that shirt.
Your characterisation of the wearer of the shirt as a trouble-maker is somewhat at odds even with the account given by Mark Looy,
I do not care what Mark Looy said. I have not read what anyone has said. It does not matter. The kid knew (or should have known, and should have been dissuaded from wearing it whether he understood why or not) the shirt would offend. He wore it anyway. He is therefore a selfish immature git. Case closed. |
I'm trying to reply to this brainless little git, only one of my responses won't go through. One of them did, so maybe I have to be content with that, and with what some others are saying to that appeaser.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.
Another example of this guy's lunacy here. |
