Speaking of "Filthy" buffets:
"And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight. And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them." (Ezekiel 4:12-13)
"But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?" (II Kings 18:27)
Does God want you to eat shit? Sure sounds like it. |
Diversity, independence, innovation and imagination are progressive concepts ultimately alien to the conservative mind.
"TAX AND SPEND" IS GOOD! (TAX: Wealthy corporations who won't go poor even after taxes. SPEND: On public works programs, education, the environment, improvements.) |

Chippewa.....
I commend you for having the forebearance to struggle through the most incredibly boring treatise ever compounded by man (or at least a concordance of it), to drag out the Ezekial and Kings quotes. The quotes are indeed excellent examples of the preposterous nonsense that can be found on practically any page of the Old Testament. Eat shit, indeed! And in the various later editions of the Greatest Collection of Crap ever Created, we have idiocy like walking on water and ressurection from the dead! Holy Shit! Which is exactly what it is!
As to On Fire for Christ, I strongly suspect, as does Dude, that OFFC has indeed ignited his own flatulence, and is proselytizing, not protesting, a policy of ignorant religious gullibility. If his occasional pious belching is indeed parody, it is so artfully concealed that it misses it's target and is taken as a true representation of OFFC's orthodox christianity.
I freely confess that I am unable to clearly decipher his commentary as either atheistic or sanctimonious religiosity! Maybe he would like to reveal himself as inclined one way or another??? |

And, corollary that might have escaped you, jut because you happen to like doesn't mean it's true...
As for a buffet, as Papa pointed out, Christians Are using the Bible as a buffet, keeping the PC part about Jesus' love and glossing about the part when the lord as to rape little girls. |
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
