Some would say that that is one definition of crazy.

R.Wreck observes:

Or certainly obsession, which is commonly defined as a form of mental aberration. Pathological obsession is very frequently associated with exteme irrationality. Correlation? Again, I don't know of experimental or statistical data; but considered, perhaps educated, opinion -- (which is all most of us do when considering subjects on which data is lacking or incomplete) -- certainly seems to appropriately describe her behavior and statements as stupid, ignorant, obsessive and irrational. Does it follow that she is a stupid, ignorant, obsessive and irrational person? No, not necessarily.

But when it looks like a quack, acts like a quacker, and loudly quacks, it's a pretty good guess it is a duck. Doesn't prove it, mind you! You just come away with a strong impression. Mine is that Wright is stunningly stupid, impenetrably ignorant, overwhelmingly obsessed, inexcusably irrational, and bat-shit crazy!

This is utterly erroneous ad feminem blasphemy in a Skepticality forum. But remember, it's just an off-the-top opinion tossed out because of a lack of statistical data to either corroborate or refute whatever Ms. Wright really is in the mind of her mind!!

I'm just saying that I find the whole training/conditioning explanation more plausible than saying creationist are just fucking stupid. Blaming their beliefs on native intelligence, or lack of, also leaves us with no recourse. There is no cure for stupid.

I'm not saying all creationists are stupid.....ignorant sure, but not necessarily stupid.

Now Wendy on the other hand, if not stupid, is a special kind of ignorant

Sure, the willfully ignorant are especially bothersome. She is clearly aware that there is a lot of data that contradicts everything she has to say about evolution and that the overwhelming scientific consensus is against her. She remains ignorant by choice, and that definitely qualifies as "special".

Dude.....

She remains ignorant by choice
Maybe she just can't rub enough neurons together to recognize that there is a choice between being ignorant or informed -- at least for those bright enough to recognize that fact?

Doesn't seem likely to me.
